Hewlett-Packard 3 Upper

Palo Alto, CA

Broken into two phases, Day 1 and Day 2, the Hewlett-Packard 3 Upper project aims to connect the employees with the rolling foothills within sight and preserve the historic Founder’s Garden.

As seen in both images, a geometric design allows native vegetation to creep into the outdoor dining plazas. Both plazas have multi-colored paving to provide interest, while the Founder’s Garden paving closely matches its historic vibrant seeded aggregate design.

An extensive tree demolition and protection plan recognizes the importance of saving heritage trees while removing other trees to open the foothill view shed.
