Doyle Drive Redesign Plan
San Francisco, CA
Doyle Drive is an incredibly scenic 1.6-mile segment of Highway 101 that runs from the Golden Gate Bridge through the Presidio National Park, adjacent to Crissy Field, and past the Palace of Fine Arts. For over a decade, MPA Design has worked with multiple agencies to create design solutions that enhance and protect the landscape, and meet the concerns of a variety of stakeholders. Design elements include the tunneling of portions of the road to allow for expansive views across the Presidio National Park to the bay, the creation of a physical connection between the Presidio National Park and Crissy Field, improved pedestrian and bicycle connections, and a safer roadway.
