Campbell Park

Campbell, CA

MPA’s design for Campbell Park included relocating the parking lot that once divided the space and replacing it with a central lawn that connects Campbell Avenue to Los Gatos Creek. This expansive lawn unites the site, provides additional gathering space, and opens up distant views to the Santa Cruz Mountains. The lawn is framed with spring blooming Chanticleer Pears, an orchard of summer blooming Crape Myrtles, and native Redwoods that screen industrial views to the northwest. The design preserves existing horseshoe pits and restrooms and adds a new entry plaza, multi-use sport court, playgrounds, amphitheater seating, and picnic area to the park. This well-lit space is especially popular at night.
